Hexapod Software Concepts
At the Bobby Menges Memorial HSS Limb Deformity Course, experts in alignment, acute coronal plane deformity correction, hexapod assisted deformity correction, and internal lengthening compression nail assisted deformity correction will use didactics, case presentations and discussions, and hands-on sawbones labs to share their knowledge of available techniques. Following this program, participants will be able to diagnose various foot and ankle conditions, such as Charcot, failed pilon fracture, post-traumatic arthritis, and ankle deformity. They will also diagnose and incorporate into practice the appropriate surgical treatment for these conditions.

Hospital for Special Surgery continuing medical education activities are intended to improve the quality of patient care and safety. At the conclusion of this course, the participant will be able to:
- Describe and recognize various orthopaedic conditions that can be treated safely with limb lengthening and reconstruction techniques. Participants will diagnose and determine the appropriate surgical treatment for these conditions.
- Describe and be able to incorporate into their practice current methods for acute deformity correction.
This activity is targeted to foot and ankle surgeons, podiatrists, pediatric orthopaedic surgeons, orthopaedic trauma surgeons, and surgical technicians. Residents, fellows, and medical students can also benefit from attending this activity.
Hospital for Special Surgery is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Hospital for Special Surgery designates this enduring activity for a maximum of 0.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
